March 12, 2014 Wickenburg, Arizona

On our way back for the annual Family Death Valley trip we drove through Phoenix and up to Wickenburg. Phoenix took forever. We stopped to stock up in north west town at the grocery store and Costco, then stop light after stop light until we were out of the metro area. Wickenburg is as a western town.

Wickenburg in the background, in the foreground is the Constellation RV park.  We are the first bus on the right with the blue boats. It is across the street from the Constellation Rodeo grounds and is parking in assigned spots, no hook ups, no amenities or bathrooms. $5 a night. Nice and quiet, out in the desert.

Rodeo grounds across the street. We went for a walk in the open area behind the park. It said hoof and foot traffic only, we have feet, but no hooves.

The ground is carpeted in areas with these tiny wooly daises and in others in just green.

Still in the Sonoran desert with the saguaros.

Tiny yellow flowers, wing nut cryptantha, seed pods, yellow flowered bush, chia just starting to bloom, yellow flower, cholla buds or fruit, not sure, ocotillo is more leafed out from the rain a week and a half ago, flowering, maybe Mormon tea.

The sign for the RV park and a no trespassing sign on the horses at the end of the park.
