March 6-7 Patagonia Lake State Park, Arizona

Very nice days, in the 70’s. Yesterday was partly cloudy, but today was sunny and a few puffy white clouds. It is nice to be by a lake, there is that moist lake smell. Been in the desert so long, I forgot what water smells like.

Boat in campsite on Patagonia Lake. A stump in a bay with grass growing on it.

John paddling the lake. The Arizona state park logo, pine tree, water and saguaro cactus. Lots of variety here.

In May they are having a mariachi festival here at the lake. I bet that would be fun to see. Some cormorants taking off as I approach in my boat.

Some of the wild life, cows on shore at the end of the lake. This little guy way laying peacefully in the cool mud and I cruised up beside him and a couple people came out of the trees toward him. He leaped up in a panic, I was afraid he would stampede me so I skedaddled after I took his photo.  We had dinner on the picnic table at sunset tonight.
