Emigrant Lake campground

We came over from Klamath Falls after a nice vist with Tom, Jen and the boys on Orgeon State Hwy 66. A very nice 2 lane that you want to make sure your jake brake is working and you are in low gear when you get over on the west side. About 5-6 miles of 6-7% grade and a bunch of 20 mph corners. However the camp ground at Emigrant lake is set up very nicely for RVs with all the standard hookups except cable. (we don't have the hardware to make the hook up anyway) and is only $26/night. ( I looked at the Good Sam site down the hill and was glad I passed on that. We are parked about 30 yrds from the showers with a nice view of the lake and the Poision Oak. If you're thinking of coming up here to camp get in early or make reservations. It looks like a pretty popular place.

The Posion Oak extremly healthy. This bush/tree is about 20' tall.
