Photos: Top Cape Blanco Light house, boats at Gold Beach, a panorama of the Cape Blanco, with John in the right corner taking another panorama, the the Coquille River Light house.
They would not let John up in the Coquille one, he did not have closed toe shoes.
Today we left Port Orford and went south to California. At the border they asked us if we had any gypsy moths from the east coast. She said our licence plate was Montana and I guess she thought Montana was the east coast. . . We stopped at the trees of mystery. There was a huge Paul Bunyon and Babe out front, a very nice Indian museum inside. I wanted to ride the gondola thru the redwoods, John declined. I walked up thru a path of unusual redwoods. The family tree which was really 12 trees, most growing off branches of the original tree, a fallen tree that had two huge redwoods growing over it, roots wrapped around the outside. etc. The gondola went up the ridge and an ocean view and I walked back thru an exhibit of Paul Bunyons life done in chain saw sculpted wood.
We are now in the Sound of the Sea RV park outside Trinidad, Ca. They advertised 250 feet above the ocean. We can hear the sea, but it is a 3/4 mile walk to it around the private property. Not what I expected.
Somehow I hurt my foot, it hurts to walk. Boo. Cuts down on hiking. Hope it is better tomorrow. Otherwise we are stuck with driving thru the drive thru redwood and the redwood drives. . .
