We waited a couple weeks so would not have to drive through snow to get back. The bus needs a little work, it is heating up going up the passes. John went slow and the weather was cold, so it did not over heat. And the front airbags need work, so we swayed and bounced home. The shop can’t get us in till the 23rd. We may be here a week or two longer than we had planned.
Vail ski area looked like you could still make it to the bottom on snow, Vail pass, the road was dry, but there was plenty of snow beside the road. Copper mountain you could still ski to the bottom, if they were open. There were a few tracks on the new snow, maybe they walked up?
I have never seen Dillon lake this low. There has been a big drought, but I didn’t realize it was this bad. Eisenhower tunnel had red light and a line when we got there, but we didn’t wait long. Maybe hazmats were going through?
Loveland ski area had plenty of snow. It closed last weekend. They are working on the tunnels outside Idaho springs. We were glad they were not blasting today because when they do you can have up to a 2 hour delay.
It did snow on us on Floyd hill, but it did not stick to the roads. Here we are on the outskirts of Denver.
Sunset from the bike path by the Poudre River. I got a nice ride in after dinner. It was in the 70’s here and sunny. No leaves on the trees, but at least the grass is green and it is not snowing. Look what I found in our garage, a glass studio! Whoopee.
