A nice sunny high 50’s day.
We went for a three mile hike around the Bluff trail again today. We saw this tarantula on the trail. We had dinner with George and Ila at the Crowbar. Ila, John, George , Laurie and Judy. John still has a bad cold so he didn’t sit with us, he does not want to infect anyone, so he sat at the bar near us.
John at the Crowbar. Partly sunny and high 50’s, but very windy today. John, Judy and I went on a hike to find the arrow again so Judy could see it. The first stop was the Nash. You can see that most of the distant scenery is faint through the blowing dust.
John and Judy at the Arrow and a shot of the Arrow from the side.
We then hiked toward these hills. Judy saw a purple thing on google earth this way we wanted to check out. We went to the coordinates, but there was no purple. Must have been a shadow or something on google earth. Judy and John hiking back with Sheephead mountain over Green Valley in the background.
The imprint of the nash emblem on the side of the old car, a cool rock, the top of a barrel cactus and another ancient design left in the desert. Sunset from Shoshone.
The current masterpiece in progress. The center is a slice of a pine cone set in resin. Top and underside of it. I photographed my barrettes for someone who wants to buy a couple. Lots left.
Seen on my late afternoon walk by the river today. The river.and shadows on the salt and clay formations.
More shadows and a reflection.
Salt rising to surface after a rain storm. Also dried flowers. I love this walk because the ground is white.
Trail marker on the river trail. Patterns of the dried mud.
Sunset was fantastic. I took way too many photos, but only two here.
