Still pretty warm, but the wind has come up blowing a bit of dust.
Dusty in Tecopa. These two baskets of mine are still available at the Tecopa Trading post.
We drove down to Death Valley today to meet some friends. The wind was blowing so much dust the road looked like a dirt road. The silly coyote was laying in the middle of the road. There used to be two of them. As soon as you stop they come up to the car begging for food. A little dusty even for the coyote.
Sunshine coming down through the blowing dust. Sunset light on Artist’s drive.
Artist Palette on Artist’s drive. Sunset on Telescope peak.
We met and had dinner with David, Lolly-who is the cousin of my sister-in-law, John, Mac and Suep. It was great to see them. They are here in a rental RV to meet up with a photographer to take a photo tour. Saturday we went to the opening of at the Tecopa gallery, then soaked in the hot springs and had dinner at the Steak house is Tecopa. Steak was good, and they guy next to us was pretty interesting. He said he stopped to pick up a plastic tub by the highway and it had a pound of pot in it!
After dinner we listened to live music in Tecopa with the Dusty Butter Trio. Excellent as usual. There was a warm fire in front, we snuggled under a warm blanket. John got us a key lime pie with carmalized bananas to round out the evening. Setting a few shells and beach rocks in resin to use in baskets.
I took a 3 mile hike along the Bluff trail right before sunset. It was lovely, but way too windy. It was 65 degrees and mostly sunny today. Black mountain and canyons.
Cool clouds before sunset.
This was as good as sunset got tonight. Fixing the water line in downtown Shoshone.
Brand new painted lines on the road in down town Shoshone. 67 degrees and hiking.
