September 29, 2024 Sheridan, Wyoming

High of 97, sunny, but smoky.

The Elk fire got bigger last night. We were going to see some museums, but I got sucked into making a basket and we got a late start and they were closed. So we did the brewery walking tour of downtown Sheridan. Luminous was closed. Probably a good thing.

Inside Smith Alley Brewing. The Mint Bar with it's neon bucking horse out front.

A few sites in beautiful historic downtown Sheridan. The fire blew up, the smoke covered the sun turning it red.

Birds on a wire with the red sun, which washed out in this photo, it was red. This sculpture was named Caught by Surprise, with downtown in the background. There were a lot of sculptures and art.

Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Smoky light in downtown Sheridan.

Smoke at sunset.

Smoke behind the bus at sunset. Smoky sunset.

The smoke made cool patterns in sunset.
