60's, partly cloudy with some light rain.
Rainy bike path with fall colors. We strolled through the FOCO Fall fest. They had a full line up of music, but we just strolled.
Another master piece made from scraps. It is a little busy, but looks better I think in the cactus stand. A few more wire wraps.
Finally, after our last false start we are packing the bus to leave. The next day was so pretty and sunny I decided to ride on the dirt trails by the river.
Small creek going into the river with fall colors. I had a minor crash on my bike, ripped part of my toenail and a bunch of skin off my little toe. Got blood all over. I stopped at a restroom and cleaned it up and covered it. Very painful. It does not help that in the night I opened the door to the bedroom and hit the toe and tore more of the nail off!!
We are on the road. Bye bye Fort Collins. We are at Horse tooth Reservoir.
The horse's tooth. Our campsite at Horse Tooth Reservoir right on the water. We are only about 15 miles from home. We are staying here 2 nights, in case we forgot anything, we can drive back and get it. We had an adventure getting to our site, first went to the wrong campground, then turned on the wrong road going to the right campground. Could not make a U turn, so had to take the truck off the back (you can't back up with the tow vehicle on) and back the the bus up. Got to the right campground- Inlet Bay. We had I-13. We thought I-3 was 13, and it had the host in it. Went back to the ranger station which was closed, but caught the ranger just leaving. We told him 15 looked empty, so he said came there. After dinner John discovered that we were in I-3, not 13. We are staying till tomorrow and calling the ranger.
Our views from our campsite.
The lake is very low. Sunset.
And more sunset.
