We are climbing Sheep Head Mountain just west of Shoshone on the way to Death Valley.
We started before dawn. Here is sunrise on Lake Robbie. Sunrise light on Sheep Head Mountain.
Cool clouds and flowers on the way up the mountain.
Judy climbing up. The view back into Death Valley in the distance.
More cool clouds, and John checking out the route for when we go back down.
Judy climbing up steep scree. John as a shadow.
Flowers on the way up. There were carpets of the little white flowers up here. John and Judy up ahead.
Looking east into Green Water Valley. We got to the bump beside the top. The top looked too steep for us. John and Judy where we stopped and had breakfast. Judy with the map and John pointing the way down.
John on the way down, Judy in the flowers on the way down.
Judy and John going down, Judy backlit.
The flowers were incredible.
I don’t know the names of them all. My books are in the pod in Colorado now.
So many different kinds and a butterfly.
Even more.
