When the mail came it had my ribbons from the Cheyenne glass show, along with photos of the winning pieces with the ribbons. I guess going home early won’t be too bad, my glass studio is there. . . Our hotel room has two beds. Guess which one I slept in and which one John slept in.
It was a beautiful sunny 80 degree day. Perfect for dinosaur viewing. Dinosaur World has over 200 life sized cement dinosaurs. I can’t even remember the names of them. Or show photos of all of them. I do know the wooly mammoths.
This one was so cute I considered taking him home. We went on a “cave tour with a Paleontologist’ for kids. It was hilarious. The best was when the guy held up a huge dinosaur claw and asked the kids what they thought it was. Tooth, end of the tail, horn?? One kid then said banana!! When he held up a fossil of a fern the kids said-fish? Bird? They were cute. These signs were in the cave.
John cringing in front of the T-rex. Our heads in a t-rex mouth, and the view of me from a T-rex mouth.
Me emerging from a T-rex egg. Had to wait while kids had their photos in these, they were fun to watch. Don’t know the name of these, but the babies are cute. They have way more dinosaurs than when we were kids, I could never learn the names now. They all had informational signs. It was very interesting.
More cool dinos. The landscaping and gardens in the place were beautiful.
The dinos were very well done. Look at this wild looking fish one. It is bigger than my kayak. Would not want to run into it while boating.
Flying and colored dinosaurs. One of the signs said they don’t know what color dinosaurs were. No skin was on the fossils, and even the skin they did find was colored by what ever dirt it was in. They did a great job painting these guy.
Enter the Carnivore boardwalk if you dare! (This exhibit may be too graphic for small children). One of the many graphic exhibits. Flowers are blooming. White iris, red azalea, pink and yellow flowering bush and lilies. Spring in Florida.
