We kissed the bus good-bye and drove down by Tampa today. We had our mail forwarded to Lazydays RV park here that we were going to be staying in. It was a 4 hour drive. We will pick up the mail tomorrow.
It is green down here!! Foliage in front of the hotel and trees along the highway. This hibiscus was blooming in front of the hotel.
The high was 82 today. We have finally found warm weather, after searching all winter. I hung out at the pool after we arrived and John the hot tub. Today we went to pick up our mail at Lazydays. They were having the RVathon at Lazydays, the largest RV dealership in the world. We got to look at tons of RV’s and get a free hot dog lunch.
Tons of RVs in the great landscaping. Inside of a new fancy expensive motor home.
Two more. We reaffirmed that we don’t like this kind of RV-to fancy for living in the woods and wilds. Which is good, they are way too expensive.
We liked these two, we knew that before the show. A Dynaquest on the bottom and a Monaco Vesta above. They are smaller than what we have now, well built and not quite as fancy as the others. Azaleas are now blooming here. It is so beautiful here this time of year. We can’t even think about getting a new home until the insurance decides whether to fix ours or pay us money, and we know how much. But we know we have good choices out there.
Here is a unique bathroom in a small towable unit. Not sure how you take a shower without getting water all over, but when you are not using it you can put the top down and have more counter space in the kitchen. After the RVathon we went to see Airstream ranch/RV henge. It is a very controversial piece. The neighbors hate it. The lot is not zoned for it etc etc. It was built as art, like Cadillac ranch in Texas , the owner has been in court for years about whether to remove it or not. It is now legal to be here, but the court ruled that it is not art. We liked it.
We picked up our mail today and I got my new camera and telephoto lens. It is charging now. It is the latest highest rated, most bullet proof waterproof point and shoot camera on the market. The last camera I bought that had the same rating I broke the LCD in about a month. It was bullet proof, but not Sue proof. Hopefully this one will hold together longer. I tried the telephoto . The top photo is with the lens lens zoomed in, the bottom is the camera without the lens zoomed in. Pretty cool.
It is so spring here. I love it. Azalea, blue flowers, a cool RV planter and a rose.
