The day started out  dreary, cool, misty, foggy- 60 degrees. We went for a walk on the beach, it was practically black and white. Me in the roots of huge tree on the beach.

Right before sunset the sun came out. The bus was full of sunshine and beach views. John on his way to the beach.

The RV park from the beach. The clouds were really cool.

The sun was not at the horizon, just peaking through the clouds, but the light was phenomenal. Then it dropped behind the lower fog bank and that was that.

I love what the light does to the sea foam. It is so wet here everything has moss on it. Like this phone booth in Forks.

We stopped at the Forks Timber Museum. It was very interesting. The bottom right is a inside a fire tower, and the bottom left is part of a dug out canoe the loggers found in the woods hanging from the ceiling, next to a totem pole that is downstairs. Next to the museum was the Logger memorial, this giant lumberjack.

The visitors center in Forks has lots of the Twilight vampire series paraphernalia. Here is the front of a t-shirt, Forks Bites and the actors from the Twilight movie. There was a self guiding map tour of sites from the movie in town too. We are now camped at the Hard Rain Cafe, mercantile and RV park-pictured above.

We are the only campers here tonight. It is really dark, and quiet. Especially quiet after being camped right on the beach with the crashing waves. The white trees are alders. They look kind of like aspen to me.

Moss and fall leaves from the dirt road across the street from the Hard Rain.  The Hoh river is very, very blue from the glacier sediment in it.

John stood in one place too long and moss started to grow on him.We saw lots of wildlife. This barred owl was right next to the trail.

This deer was eating mushrooms. We saw three deer there. All these elk are right by the campground.
