We are back at Oregon Motor Coach to get the bus tweeked. Getting new shocks, the electrical problem checked out and the heating fixed.
In the parking lot of Oregon Motor coach. The coach is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Mostly it rained all day, but we got the rainbow and a little bit of sunset.
We had dinner at Leslie and Scott’s tonight. Leslie made yummy chili. Behind and to the left of them are pieces of glass I made. Two of my glass pieces won ribbons in the glass show at Echter’s Greenhouse in Denver!! The Egyptian Sun God won third in the mixed category. Leslie has one of those by her right elbow.
Spring Beauty won third in the warm category and sold the opening day. Inspires me to rush home and make more glass! This afternoon Leslie gave each of us a 90 minute massage , then the 4 of us went out to dinner at the Plank Town Brewery.
The coach having work done on it. A day or two and it will be done. Scott has been siding the Hip Hop Hut as they named it since he is using records. Very unique and came out looking great so far. John helped him roof it last time we were here.
More records in progress. Sunset tonight.
John helped Scott carry the new 200 lb cement kitchen counter that Scott made into the house. It looks really nice. We went out for pizza afterwards.
The coach is supposedly done this afternoon. John will test the new shocks out tomorrow and then hopefully we are off. The electrical problem ended up being that one of the new batteries was bad-they tested and replaced it for free, so far it seems to be ok tonight.
We had them check a moldy smell under the bathroom sink the morning we were supposed to leave, and they found a broken pipe. So three hours later we left, and as we were going to get gas, I heard a noise in one of the wheels. So we went back and it was a loose hub cap. We left at around 4 pm. . . The new shocks are wonderful, bus is smoother and handles better.
The crew from Oregon Motor coach were lining up for a group photo this am. John thought they looked to grim, so he flashed his belly at them and they all started grinning and laughing. A great group of employees, seem to like their jobs, want to do good work and very personable and laid back. Great place to get work done. We are finally on the road again back to the coast.
We are still in Oregon, so there is still lots of moss on the trees. We arrived after dark -530- I hate daylight savings time. In the dark and rain and had to pick a site and try to get parked in it it, in the dark. We always arrive before dark, now I know why. The bus at Jessie M. Honeyman State Park the next morning.
