Sunny, maybe 60 degrees. Much warmer in the sun out of the wind. I spent a few hours in my lawn chair working on my basket.
Wow, the Power Ball is over $800 million. Since Nevada does not have Power Ball Nevada people drive to California for tickets. This line does not include the people in the store, in front of the store and along the side of the building. The right of the top photo is the left of the bottom photo, the line is really long. I am making another basket, it is coming along nicely. It is about 4 inches tall so far and 6 inches wide and growing.
I put a bead at the bottom to cover up the unsightly beginning of the basket. Shoshone from the south this afternoon. Town looks much bigger with all the Nevada cars parked along the street.
John on a hike this afternoon. This same loggerhead shrike was here last time I walked by this trail marker.
Sunset on the Nopah range behind the Resting Springs range. Not a cloud in the sky.
I ordered this cat eye sunscreen for John for Christmas. You can’t see into the bus during the day but we can see out and it keeps the sun out . It installs inside the window which makes it much easier than the one for the last bus where I had to teeter on a ladder to snap it on the outside. It rolls up very small for storage when not in use. I ordered it from http://heritageartltd.com/index.html. They have lots of cool other designs and will even do a photo you send them. If anyone orders one give them my name (Sue Palmer) and I get a small rebate.
This afternoon we went to see the Gypsy Time Travelers show out of their RV shaped like a castle. Christy tell fabulous stories while Michael makes trinkets they raffle off in their mobile blacksmith shop and home. The sunset over Tecopa was lovely.
After dinner at the Bistro we listened great music by Pable Tecopa and the Dusty Butter Band on the outdoor stage. Paul, Nancy, Patrick and Ryan. Sunday we went for a walk along the Amargosa river just east of town. Here is a waterfall.
John jumping the river. Evening light on the surrounding white cliffs.
A arch in one of the cliffs. Cool mud and rock patters and a phainopepla in a mesquite tree.
