With this abnormally cool weather for this time of year ( 70-80’s)in the desert we headed south to Quartzsite, Arizona. It is a great place to just hang out, relax and enjoy the nice weather.
There is tons of free BLM dispersed camping here. In the winter the place is packed, but this time of year it was practically deserted. We are all by outselves out in the desert. It is really pretty here. It is in the Sonoran desert, so there are saguaros here.
Evening light on the desert. We had wine and watched the sunset, then had dinner outside. It was in the 70’s, perfect temp.
Sunset, wine and my hubby, what else do you need for happy hour? The bus in the sunset.
Saguaro in the sunset. Latest basket finished.
This tiny spider took up residence on the basil today. I went shopping in Quartzsite and found the worlds largest belt buckle.
Also a bear wearing the words largest squash blossom necklace. One of the reasons we came here was so I could go to the cheap bead store and get some beads for the baskets. Here are what I got.
Sunset tonight. The Palo Verde trees are blooming a beautiful yellow right now.
Sunset north and south tonight.
This morning the saguaro bloomed! Same saguaro at sunset tonight.
Me hooping with sunset.
