Overcast and in the mid 50’s today. We went for a hike at Foothill Park in Palo Alto.
Judy with John ahead on the trail under an oak tree. The view from the Vista Point of the San Franciso Bay east of us and Mt Diablo floating above the clouds. We lived close to Mt Diablo growing up.
Judy and John on the trail with mossy trees.
Looking back at the visitor center where we had been. A fungus, model of the park at the visitors center, mushroom, flowers on a bush, a decorated Christmas tree in the understory and a mossy rock wall.
Judy sliced some pine cones for me to make into basket centers. Top left are the ones she sliced, top right is one I saw in the rock shop and a basket made with some at the same rock shop. I am going to sand them down then set them in resin.
Judy, Laurie and John after a scruptious Chinese dinner at Su Hong. We drove to just east of Paso Robles, Ca to Tobin James cellars. It is another Harvest Host so we can stay for free if we buy something. The sign out front and the door to the tasting room.
A mosiac in their court yard/ picnic area. The bar was built in the 1800’s in Missouri. John and our tasting room associate Janell.
Slow Adults at Play, there are 20 wineries right in this area. I love the business card of the Wine Tasting, We drive your car. The bus parked at the winery.
Oak tree by the bus. Vineyards on top of the hill.
I am added some contrasting coils with colored threads and am adding beads. It is easier to do this while I can stil get my hands in the basket.
