We woke up to partly sunny and windy, with big 1-3 foot waves on the lake.
There were whitecaps on the whole lake. Dust was blowing. This is the rain coming in over the mountains from the west.
The last view of the Pyramid before the rain, then rain, fog and wind. The bus was rocking.
Then the wind calmed down, the rain left and when the clouds lifted we had snow on the mountains around us. The sun shined through a few holes in the clouds on wispy clouds on the snow covered horizon.
We walked to the only bar/restaurant/store in town. The air smelled wonderful. Get your beer and gear here.
This lake has the biggest trout in the world. Here a couple of the monsters. 14 lbs. Fishing season starts on Tuesday. People come from all over the world to fish. I am almost finished with the masterpiece. It is 9 1/2 x 11 x 2 inches. Made with pine needles dyed orange, yellow and cocoa brown. It has a fused dichroic glass bear in the center that I made and some bear beads around it.
Sunrise on the snow. Livestock in the road.
Not sure what this livestock is. Horse, donkey, mule or burro? Rain storm across the lake.
Rain storm across the lake in the mountains. John photographing the Needles. They are off limits to non tribal members on land or by boat. There is a geyser in there too.
Split tufa rocks. A pelican and some cool textures in the tufa.
The Needles and some more weird shaped tufa rocks.
Pointy rocks and a pointy rock with round at the bottom.
Textures, bumps, holes and bird nest in the hole. Pictographs.
Sort of sunset over the bus.
