73 and cloudy.
Torren and Ruud , the only two children who live in Shoshone came to visit us today. They like Frances our rubber guard snake. John was having them work our math problems in the dirt. He started doing that to discourage them from visiting as often, but they love it. He was waving his stick(pen) around.
We went to Tecopa for dinner and caught this lovely sunset there.
Sunset. John and Judy at BBQ and Brewery in Tecopa. The young man in the background is a flight paramedic visiting from Alaska. He was very interesting.
It rained for all of 10 minutes today. First rain in some time. The patio and dirt got wet. Briefly. I cooked tonight. Home made meatball calzones with red sauce. Yummy.
Judy D brought her own dinner over and ate with us tonight. Today the boys came back for more math with John.
It started out a nice 65 degree day, sunny, gentle breezes. Then this cloud blew in on 20-30 mph winds and it rained.
After the rain the light was so cool that we decided to walk the 3 mile loop. John under the low clouds Cloud burst over the hills.
Cool shadows and heavy virga.
Heavy virga. A beautiful rainbow over town. This end is landing on the green house.
This end of the rainbow is landing on the Crowbar. The whole rainbow over beautiful, historic downtown Shoshone.
Cool pop up trailer. Looks small enough for a motorcycle. Rippled clouds over Lake Robbie.
Sunset through all the blowing dust. There were up to 46 mph gusts of wind. The clouds blew away and only a small flat cloud was left.
