75 degrees and sunny.
Our local roadrunner tried to ride my bike this morning. We hiked Grapevine Canyon today. This is entrance to the canyon. There are tons of petroglyphs on these rocks.
Big rocks. Some petroglyphs.
More petroglyphs.
After the petroglyphs we headed up canyon through this rock pile. A small spring. Anywhere there is water on the desert the green is so shockingly green.
Growth in the spring. Backlit cholla.
The rugged Needle mountains are where the local native Americans in this area believe the spirits passed between worlds. The canyon ran along side them. Sun shining through a hole in a dead tree.
John in the narrows.
Sue climbing out of the narrows. John under an over hang in the narrows.
John in the narrows on the way back. A few interesting peaks in the Needle Mountains.
Needle Mountains. Shadow red ridge, blue sky, white clouds.
Sue walking the line in the rock on the way back. Mossy heart shaped pool.
The pedestrian bridge over the highway in Laughlin is pretty cool. Sky on fire at sunset.
Fun sunset reflections on the river.
