February 28-March 1-5, 2021 Shoshone, California

 65 degrees, sunny and windy.

I finished this basket off with glass beads around the center. The waves worked on this one. The center is a piece of dichroic glass I fused. It is made with dyed and natural pine needles. It is 7 x7 x 4 inches.

I also finished this one off with glass beads around the wave. The center is a piece of dichroic glass I fused. It is made of dyed pine needles. It is made with dyed pine needles.  It is 7  x 6 1/2  x 3 1/2 inches.

We had the second Primrose Posse Potluck Patio Party tonight.  With Billie, Judy P, Karin, Judy D, Susan, Robbie and John. It was another great success with lots of yummy food. Sunset tonight.

We drove to Las Vegas and got our first covid vaccine!! We drove through Red Rock Canyon on the way. It is a beautiful park.

My sister Judy and I went for a walk this afternoon.  We saw this labyrinth. And looking down this is Dublin Gulch. Back in the day of the miners they built houses into the rock. There were very few trees and they knew how to dig. The houses were much cooler here in the desert and warmer in the winter.

Evening light on the Kingston mountains and the Resting Springs range. I was ill from my vaccine, so didn't take any photos for the last two days. Laid in bed and rested.

74 degrees today. Judy and I hiked the 3 mile bluff trail today. On the way back we saw this plane land. It is Lake Buccaneer. It is made for landing on water, the engine is over the cockpit and the propeller is on the back of the engine. Very interesting.  One of the desert tortoises came out today. Still a bit cold for them, he was moving very slowly.

We ordered takeout dinner from the Crowbar and ate outside tonight. Judy, John and Judy. It was 71 degrees in the sun, cooler in the shade. John and Judy were wearing down coats. We are wimpy from being in the desert. Judy D treated us to take out at Steak and Beer tonight. Eric cooks the best steaks ever. Susan, Pam, Judy D and John.

Sunset at Steaks and Beer tonight.
