Still 60, windy and sunny.
We hiked Hecata Head to the lighthouse. Up 600 feet, down a few hundred and back. 2.8 miles. The trailhead is at the arrow. The trail is steep, John on some of the stairs.
John disappearing into a foliage tunnel. Lots of flowers and ferns.
It was so steep I came up under this cow parsnip. Looking north on the beach below.
John is below me on the switchbacks. Wild iris on the trail.
Hecata Head lighthouse. Hecata beach.
Carpet of wildflowers under the trees. Ferns growing in the trees.
A fern wall along the trail. A view of the ocean on the way back.
The almost full moon rising in sunset. Sunset over a cool log.
