The Kolub Canyons. A bunch of parallel red rock  canyons. This is a photo from a sign at the trail head of Taylor Canyon where we hiked today. The dotted yellow line is the trail.

This is the canyon next to the one we hiked today. On the way up there were towering red rock walls and spring green trees.

This alcove had water coming out of the rock into a pool. The first photo is the actual size of the bottom, the second photo is a lame panorama that shows it is very tall. It is actually tall and skinny, but he panorama doesn’t show it.

When we got back to camp this enormous tent was set up in the site next to us. The campers said this is the first time they have used this tent. The parents said their parents brought them to camp here every year, so now they bring their kids to camp here every year too. Bet the parents didn’t have this cool of a tent when they were kids. You can see the bus behind it. Pussy willows, two colors of mustard flowers.

A wild turkey crossing the creek, , barb wire coming out of a tree, it was part of a fence attached to the tree many, many years ago, Manzanita blossoms, fringed gromwell, mustard plant and dead butterfly in the creek.

The moon rose tonight in a V in the canyon wall high above us. It kind of rolled up the side of the V, really cool.
