We drove 100 miles from Valley of Fire to Snow canyon, but went through 3 states. From Nevada, through Arizona into Utah. Snow Canyon is right outside of St George, Utah, which is just west of Zion National Park. Very beautiful red rock country. There was a volcano that erupted sometime just north of town and there is a band of lava through town and some in the park.
The campground here was built long before motorhomes were on the road, it is very, very tight. We are inches from the picnic shelter with lava stone walls on the passenger side and there is barely room for the slides on the other side. There are water and electrical hookup too. We got the last of two first come first serve sites left, the rest were all reserved. It seems to be spring break in this area, lots of large families with lots of cute kids. Roses John brought me in the front window with the view of the canyon in front of the bus.
The moon rising over the peak behind the campground. Quote on the wall of the visitors center-“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” John Muir.
