We moved to a real campground with hookups. We have been staying just out in the desert for so long, it is kind of a shock. It is nice having hook ups, a picnic table and hot showers.
John washed the bus and the car on the way over. They look fabulous. Here is the bus in our site at Dead Horse State Park. They have 3 lakes here for fishing and non motorized boats. 84 degrees, sunny and I am out floating on a pretty lake. Perfect.
The sun through the trees at the edge of the lake. Me in my boat relaxing, sunbathing and bird watching.
Just floating around the birds don’t hear you and you can get closer. Here are a couple of views of a some herons.
A turtle with a red stripe on his head, a boat tailed grackle-they are really annoying, but with that big tail they are pretty. I love watching coots taking off, they run along the top of the water flapping their wings. The eveing light was kind of cool on these cattails. Birds were flying back and forth over me and swallows were dive bomging bugs. There is a bird in the far left of this photo.
These are photos John took of me in Sycamore Canyon yesterday. One of the trail and the other crossing the creek. John always stands on the other side of the creek with his camera aimed at me, so if I fall he will get a good photo.
This bus with a VW bus added to the top was by the car wash. The penthouse!
