June 1-2, 2022, Albany, Oregon

 78 degrees and partly sunny.

Fields of meadow foam, rape seed-used for canola oil, and hazelnut trees. All are grown in the Willamette valley. Driving into downtown Albany, Oregon.

We are at another Harvest Host site, this one is the Deluxe Brewery. We are parked in the left of the photo, next to the brewery. John inside the Deluxe Brewery with his IPA and Autumn the bar tender.

Just two blocks away was a second brewery, Calaposia Brewing. John is in heaven. The brewery is on the river by the bike path. We took a stroll to nearby historic downtown. The Willamette River.

The Historic Carousel Museum is closed right now. We went to it years ago when they were hand carving the animals for it. They have since moved into this new building and the carousel is  running. Except it is closed and I can't ride it.  John in beautiful historic downtown Albany, Oregon.

The Borden cow is over the moon on the old  Borden Milk Co, circa 1925, next to the brewery. The Willamette River from the bike path in front of our camp spot.

84 and partly sunny, partly rainy. Portland, Oregon as we drove through. Multnomah falls in the Columbia Gorge.

Remnants of the 2017 falls in the Columbia Gorge. Wild flowers at a rest stop.

Tonight we are parked at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center. We are in a parking lot right by the highway, but the grounds are lovely. View of flowers behind the bus.

I walked on a nice trail by the river. This is an example of an 1800's cabin in the area. The Columbia River from the Discovery center.

Arrow Leaf Balsam root flowers and oak trees along the trail. Heart leafed buckwheat, blue dicks, arrow leaf balsam roots and coreopsis,  sunflower, blanket flower.

Sculpture at the discovery center, lupines, lupines and a sunflower, blanket flower. Arrow leaf balsam roots with lupine, the same flowers with a white flowering bush, and pine needle baskets in the gift shop. On the bottom is a bench that says I love Today.

Sunset with teepee poles.
