High of 69 and partly cloudy.
Spent a relaxing day sitting in the sun in Leslie and Scott's backyard. Then walked the dogs in the park.
Leslie cooked us a lovely fajita dinner. Yum yum. Sunset with the moon over the Oregon motor coach.
The dings on the bus are repaired and were painted today.
The yellow outlined area was painted. Another day in the waiting room while they worked on the bus. I wrapped a few pieces of dichroic glass. And a stone. It had markings on it that looked kind of like a tree, so I thought it would look cool wrapped. But the wire covered up the tree markings, so it is just a wrapped rock.
I finished this basket yesterday. It is made from dyed pine needles, polyester thread and the center is a dichroic glass scarab I cast. It is 7 x 1 3/4 inches. We went to the open mic night to listen to Leslie and Theo.
Leslie belting it out. They sounded great and it was a lot of fun. Jessica and Thor singing House of the Rising Sun. We decided Thor is about 8 or 9. It is so cool to see quality time with the family.
Our coach is on the right. There are so many coaches that look like ours here that I have tried to walk into some of the others. The bus up on the lift getting fluids and filters changed. They also checked stuff out in case something else needed fixing.
Sunset from the RV parking lot.
I finished this basket today. It is made from dyed and natural pine needles, polyester thread, black buttons, glass and magnesite beads. The enter is a Mexican tile sun. It is 11 x 2 inches Baskets this size usually take me about 25 hours to make. I timed myself today, it took 5 hours to sew on the beads around the center and the upper edge of the basket and suede on the back. I love how bright it is. I made these 5 baskets while we have been here. The large one with the raven I just did the finishing touches on, but made the rest, including the one in the top corner which has been sold. Plus I wire wrapped a lot of glass jewels.
The bus is done!!! It is so nice to have a working AC/heat pump, bathroom fan, hot water heater, front fans, both beside lamps, and the shade over the table. Plus the dings on the side of the bus are fixed, John going over the bill. We are going to stay here over the weekend, since it is impossible to find a place over a holiday weekend. John grilled steaks in front of the bus in the parking lot and we ate on the nice deck here,
They park the buses pretty close together in the shop parking lot. It is disorienting to see myself coming down the stairs and out the door reflected in the window of the coach next door. Sunset tonight.
