We traveled down the coast of Washington to Oregon.
The city of Raymond, Wash has 100’s of metal people and animals along the road, South Bend, Wash has the worlds largest oyster. Oysters are the main industry in town.
Also in South Bend is a totem pole and a carving of People of Thunderbird.
South Bend had pink bows all along main street and pink on these statues. We are thinking it has to do with Columbus day, which is today. The Rose Ranch.
We have arrived in Oregon. We are camped at Fort Stevens state park, on the jetty just west of Astoria. The ship wreck of the Peter Iredale on the beach at sunset.
The wreck of the Peter Iredale with the moon on the beach and at sunset. This is just the front of the boat, it was much longer, there are a few pieces behind this.
Here is a photo of the Peter Iredale when it first wrecked in 1906. She was built in 1890 in England. There are a lot of ship wrecks in this area where the Columbia River meets the Pacific ocean.
