July 9, 2014 Stage Coach State Park, Colorado

Very relaxing day sat the lake.  80’s , gentle breeze and partly sunny.

This is what I call relaxing. My boat on the lake, sunbathing. The fish weren’t biting, so I read a few chapters in my book.  The coach in late afternoon light. They have nice big sites here with 30 amp electric, right on the lake. There are some trees, but mostly to small to give much shade. You have to bring your own shade. Mostly very quiet.

The view across the lake. The mountain in the center has ski runs cut into it. In the early 70’s they were building a development called Stage Coach that was to include a ski area. They must have run out of funding, so they stopped. In 1989 they built the dam here and created a lake. So the people who bought  what they thought would be ski are homes now are lake side. I hooped for about an hour tonight and watched the birds and the colors change.

I climbed up to the look out over the lake for sunset, but this was all the color there was tonight. Boreal bluet damselfly, wolf spider with the babies on her back, bird singing to me at sunset, flower bud.
