We arrived early to the rally. Get a good parking place, get settled meet the neighbors and figure out the layout of the place. There were still over a thousand motorhomes here early. It is the 50th anniversary of the Family Motor coach association.
Program for the rally. We are a place called the Cam-plex. It is huge, has tons of RV hookups. They have the county fair here and many other large events. They have a display of equipment used in the oil fields and coal mines in the area. Here is John climbing one of the trucks. Big toys for big boys.
John riding his bike in a huge bucket from some HUGE piece of equipment. We could drive the motor home into this. A loco weed growing by the equipment.
I am getting around in a 12 foot diameter, 4 feet wide tire. A New York Yankees car is someone’s towed vehicle
They have a display of vintage motor homes from the 50’s since this is the 50th anniversary. These are converted Flexible buses. Outside and inside. These ones are still in use.
Another flexible interior. We went to a rousing game of bingo the first night. We didn’t win anything. The prizes were handfuls of candy bars and Wal-Mart gift cards.
Sunset over the sea of motorhomes. I updated our route on our US map, last year is in the lime green. Last year was in bright purple, but it didn’t show up, so I embroidered the green on top. This year is started with metallic red, you can see it going to Gillette, Wyo. I may need another color, I can’t tell if it is going to blend in or not.
There were thunderstorms this afternoon. Cool mammatus clouds and a rainbow.
Rainbow in the sunset, and another sunset over the sea of motorhomes.
