December 28, 2019 - January 2, 2020 Death Valley, California

Another mid 60's , sunny, windy day. The wind died down in the afternoon. I sat in my lawn chair and finished my latest masterpiece. We can see Furnace Creek Inn from our campsite. Beautiful place. The RV campground is getting way too full for us. When we arrived there were only about 10-20 spaces taken, people were far apart. Tonight there were at least 100 plus sites full. It will probably be full as the holiday week progresses. The other two campgrounds with picnic tables , some trees and more space have been full. There are already some tent campers in this campground. It is a pretty grim place to tent camp. They opened up the overflow lot, which is more big parking lot. We are leaving in the morning for Shoshone.

The sky was still clear at sunset, but this lighted up. A sliver moon setting with Venus tonight.

We drove though Pahrump, Nevada on our way to Shoshone to resupply. We have not been anywhere near a real grocery store since Bakersfield at the beginning of the month. Also filled the bus with fuel. It is much cheaper than California. We arrived in Shoshone and are now parked in front of my sisters house. She put in a 50 amp plug for us. Great to be here.  She is not here yet, but will be.

Sunset started nice, but didn't really turn pink. Robbie came by to welcome us to Shoshone. Willie and Lilly were delighted to see us. We had dog biscuits.

We have not be anywhere with a washer is sometime. I did a bunch of loads at my sisters house and this is the dryer. Sunset with the new moon.

Sunset on the Kingston Mountains. Reflections in the pupfish pond.

Little Black Mountain. Not many clouds for sunset tonight, but I liked this lone little pink cloud over the salt deposits tonight.

Pre-sunset tonight over beautiful historic downtown Shoshone. Sunset colors were unbelievably bright.

The moon in sunset. 436 glass pendants. 47 that still need bails. The rest I washed and am going to polish the bales. They are a bit sticky, probably from removed price tags that all the adhesive didn't come off and from many people handling them. Then I am going to polish the bales with silver polish, some are a bit tarnished. I think I have enough.
