January 12-18, 2020 Shoshone, California

50's and sunny today. I got a lovely massage.

Sunset with some interesting debris.  Sunset without the debris.

The little boys down the street wanted to take some photos with my camera. They took this one of me! I was even smiling. Today we hiked with my sister Judy in Death Valley. This is where we went.

Looking out over Death Valley toward the Panamint mountains. They have a lot less snow than they had a couple weeks ago when we were here.  John and Judy at the car putting on their packs. Later in the day he wind kicked up some dust down in the valley.

There are lots of plants sprouting. My best guess is that these are desert gold and sand verbena. With a couple more rains between now and spring we will have a lovely bloom here. These mountains to the east almost didn't look real.

Colorful mountains on the way back. Sunset over Tecopa Peak and Grimshaw lake.

Judy D cooked us a yummy dinner at her place tonight. Judy, Judy and John. Judy P and Judy D hiking on the white trail today.

A shot hiking this afternoon. Sunset across the street.

Beautiful high wind clouds aloft today. Not much wind at ground level tho.

Little black mountain, a white bluff and round cloud. The sun was looking through a small hole in the cloud. It looked like an eye.
The clouds on the horizon blocked anymore color from the sunset.
