These African aggressive bees are eating the coffee grounds in Judy's compost. There were about 100 of them by the end of the day there. Just what we need, caffeinated African bees. Before the grounds they would hover around me and dive bomb me. One of them stung me. They make it pretty unpleasant to go outside. There are about 8 in that photo. I used a telephoto lens. Judy, Judy and I walked by the neighbor boys house on the way back from our hike. Torian, the young man in the photo with us, took the other photo of half of me. His older brother Ruud took this one. They are fascinated with the camera, they want to take photos every time I go by.
We hiked a moderately dazzling hike today with the Tecopa Hiking Club. It was cloudy, but fairly warm. Taking a break. Mike and Bailey found a mylar balloon. We pick them up on our hikes, there are so many laying around the desert. Today we found 5.
The clouds were kind of cool. This looks like virga, but no rain hit the ground. Lunch break on the hike with Resting Springs in the background.
I think this is red leaves growing out of a last years dead devils spine flower. My latest basket.
It was another spectacular sunset tonight.
We had a yummy dinner at the Crowbar with Susan, Linda, Judy, John and Judy. Our older brother Ray sent us Xmas presents. He said they were in the same box, they are exactly the same and said not to fight over them. So here is a photo of us fighting over them.
Our present is a flashlight with an electric lighter on the end. It is very cool. The bottom of the photo is showing the lighter lit.
The present my brother Ray sent to Judy and I is called a Pyro arc lighter. It has a flashlight on one end and a lighter on the other end that uses raw electricity to light. We got into a lighter fight and started our houses on fire.
Sunset tonight. These daffodils are blooming in front of the house across the street. I had some of this kind in my garden in Denver.
Sunset over the lake in Shoshone. John cooking me dinner. He was working so fast he is blurry. What a sweetheart.
