November 17, 2020 Lyman Lake State Park, Arizona

 75 and sunny today.

The bus at Lyman Lake State Park campground. We have a lakeside camp spot, but the lake is really low so it is behind us. We paddled across the lake today to hike the Ultimate Petroglyph trail. That really is the name of the trail. You can only get to it by boat. John in his kayak.

It was an outstanding petroglyph trail. These huge rocks were right on the trail.

The bus with clouds reflected over the eyes.  A rock with 4 lizard petroglyphs on top, a man falling head first with his dog off a cliff, a kayaker over water. Or at least that is what I saw in them. John on the trail.

The signs said this is either an eagle or a turkey.  A person with an eagle/turkey costume or an eagle/turkey on his head. The upper one they are saying is probably a mountain lion or a coyote.

John photographing what they call Ultimate petroglyph rock. The whole top is covered with petroglyphs. Interesting designs and 3 different flute players.

Maybe a scorpion being chased by some sperm, cholla fruit and I am not sure. Crack in the rock.

Ultimate Petroglyph rock with the lake in the background. Yellow cottonwood leaves against a blue sky.

The swimming beach at the lake.  Not too crowded.

Sunset with and without the tree from the campground.
