November 18-19, 2020 Lyman Lake State Park, Arizona

We had to move to another campsite because some had reserved the one we were in. We are right next door to our old site. On Monday we will move back to our old one for the rest of the week. Most other campgrounds in the area are already reserved for the holiday weekend. The building next to our site is our picnic table shelter. John on the Petroglyph trail.

Petroglyphs. The lighter colored glyphs are older.

Some of the petroglyphs seen. John waving to me from above.

View of the lake from the top of trail.  View of the lake through a crack in a huge rock.

View of the lake from the top of trail. It was very windy, you can see waves on the lake. Red rocks and blue sky.

Some fern looking petroglyphs, a natural markings on the rock, racoon footprints and a flock of coots sheltering on the leeward side of the rocks way below me.  Sunset last night with the new moon.

I finally finished this masterpiece. It came out gorgeous. It is a piece of glass I made that was a complete disaster. Everything I did to it to fix it just made it worse. It got overheated, glass flowed off the kiln shelf, fused to the kiln shelf and broke into a bunch of pieces. I salvaged this much and fused it back together into an abstract. It was misshapen, but it came out lovely in a basket. It is 12 1/2  x 110 1/2 x 3 inches. I used natural longleaf pine needles, polyester thread and lots of glass beads. It has suede on the back to protect it.

Leather on the back to protect the glass. Sunset tonight at our campsite.
