18 degrees today, 0 tonight. Brr. A foot of snow on the ground. The radiator is out of the bus and being rebuilt. Soon we will be on the road again.
Snow in the driveway. Our street, it is not one the plow list, so bumpy and slick. The sun is back out.
Sunset. No smoke or anything tonight. Last night I put the upper part of the photo into the kiln with a couple things in molds. The bottom part is what I woke up this am. I had set the kiln wrong, it got too hot and this is what happened. The molten glass from the plate dripped off the kiln shelf to the floor and a large part of it fused to the shelf. The three molds glass are permanently fused to them. The molds are ruined and the shelf will be damaged. But the good news is I called the company, got it programed right, so he kiln is ok.
Sunset tonight. I love the heart above the house. The high was 55 and sunny. We took a nice afternoon walk, then stopped for a beer. John relaxing in the sun on the patio at Equinox brewery.
Another mural at Equinox and a cool painted utility box in the alley.
The fountain in old town in the square. A little Halloween decoration at Coopersmiths.
It was 65 today and sunny. It was so nice I took a long walk, This red tree was along the way. I had to confirm my humanity to order at this site.
Halloween dinner, a pineapple at the farmers market, I got a rock- trick or treating in front of a jewelry store, Day of the Dead exhibit in a window downtown. We had dinner at John and Mandy's house last night. We ate early so we could sit outside and social distance. Yummy meal and always good to see them.
Sunset last night. I am finally done with this piece. It had one problem after another. Each time I tried to fix it it got worse. I call it Cursed Desert. It is slumped into an oval bowl mold. I am going to make a basket around it.
Pine needle and glass Christmas ornaments. Except the kiss, it was a pin. The bus parked in front of the house. It is almost loaded up, we are leaving tomorrow!!!
On the road! The bridge is famous, they left out the center pylon for the view. Ten mile range with Copper Mountain Ski area on the right.
Last light on Mt Sopris over Carbondale, Colorado. The bus parked at our friends Martha and Jim Jim's house. Martha is traveling and Jim Jim just got back from a Grand Canyon raft trip.
5 hours of driving in the bus today. Look what I made so far. It is about 6 inches in diameter. I made the glass center.
