In the 60's, raining and windy. We met Barry for beers and apps. Great to see him. The clouds parted on the way home and we got this sunset.
I finished the Dancing Rainbow. It is 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches. It is 3/8 of an inches thick with polished edges. I finished polishing 6 crescent moon jewels. They are 1 1/2 - 1 1/4 inches long. The picture does not do them justice. They glitter and change colors when moved. I am going to bead them.
I went with John on his 5 mile walk this afternoon along the Poudre River. It was 74, sunny and lovely.
5 mile walk on this lovely Indian summer afternoon. John in back lit young cottonwoods.
Rocky Mountain Bee Plant bloom. The water fall over the diversion dam on the Poudre on our walk.
I took John and my brother Jerry out to Austin's to celebrate their birthdays. They have their complimentary birthday sundaes. Good to see Jerry. 70, partly cloudy and a tiny bit of rain. The bus is in front of our house- apartment over the garage and we are packing. We are leaving Sunday. In the foreground is a silver lace vine I planted here when I first met John.
I harvested the tomatoes and the basil. Made pesto to take and tomato basil pasta for dinner. Yum yum. Sunset tonight.
Sunset with the moon tonight.
The donation box by the door contains 4 pairs of glasses. I don't need them anymore. Fuel is starting to go up. It was $4.85 but John got 4.45 with his king soopers card. We were only topping off the tank, so only got 25 gallons at $114.00. Good thing we don't drive very far in a day.
Fall colors at the Filter plant on the Poudre River seen through a filthy side window. The bus at Ansel Watrus campground on the Poudre River. Beautiful campground on the river with lots of trees. Finally out of town and on the road again.
The view across the river from our campsite. Lots of poison ivy, oregon grape and asters.
John relaxing in the campsite. Soooo nice and peaceful to be on the road again. Dinner at our picnic table.
