June 2-4, 2024 Redmond/Bend/ Burns, Oregon

 High of 68 and cloudy.

We are now parked at the Deschutes county Expo Center RV park at the county fair grounds in Redmond, Oregon. We met our friend for dinner a the Grace and Hammer pizza restaurant in an old church. Great pizza and good company.

We are visiting Rob't and Diana. We met them years ago on the road. Great to see them. We also had a drink at the Kobold Brewery. We started outside at this flaming table, but moved inside when it began to rain.

We went for a hike in Shevlin park in Bend with Rob't and Diane. John and Rob't. Tansy leafed evening primrose, chock cherry, lupine, starry false Solomon's seal, and antelope bitterbush.

Cool clouds. John and Diane on the trail by Tumalo river.

After hiking we went to the Silver Moon Brewery. Part of the mural at the brewery.

Years ago we had to all bend down to get into a selfie of all of us, so every time we get a a photo of us now, we do it in the same position. Rob't, Diane, SueP and John.
John saved 60cents a gallon with his Kroger card on fuel today.

We are now camped at Crystal Crane Hot springs. It was 78 and sunny today. Crystal Crane hot spring pool.

John by the waterfalls. The wind is blowing so hard they are blowing to the left.  I finally finished this basket. It was a night mare. It is so big that I think I spent 60-80 hours on it. It is made from dyed pine needles, wire grass, polyester thread and glass beads. The 3 centers are tiles I made in 2003. I had a commission to make 20 to go around a bath tub. These were the demos. It has miles of 18 gauge wire in the coils to keep it from bending between the tiles. It is 21 x 9 x 2 inches.
