I love these dunes. They are way , way south in Death Valley, out of the way, and a 2 mile hike in. They are usually pristine. It was blue bird day, no wind, and almost too hot.
The crew on the way out. John, Christine, Rod, Mac, Suep and Lauren. The head gate at the mine behind the dunes.
Ibex Dunes. Lauren and Christine up near the top while Mac and I struggle up. These are steep dunes.
Christine running to the bottom after Lauren. Then they walked back up.
Enjoying the dunes.
Looking down 300 feet. On the crest.
My shadow. On the crest still.
Lauren sliding down the dune. John on the top. He is still sick, so he only came up part way, but he also carried extra packs around the dunes for us.
