It was a kind of cloudy day today. John is still sick so I went for a short hike up to the observation house above Furnace Creek Inn. It is kind of a ridge walk both ways.

It is a true desert oasis. The front of the Inn. We will come back in March and stay with my sisters family and friends on our maybe 20th annual family trip.

This American Kestrel was on top of the observation house. A stuffed turkey vulture in the gift shop at the ranch-I love the eye lashes, bougainvillea , Death Valley Coyote poop, Furnace Creek Resort Merlot, Death Valley Roast coffee, with the blind dog hiking where we did yesterday in Golden canyon by Manley beacon.
