Saturday we hung out in the warm sun. I worked on my basket. The road runner came back and came right up to me chattering-probably demanding food. He probably thought that the plastic bag I had the pine needles in had food in it.
These guys are really big. They measure 22 inches from beak to tip of the tail. They stand at least 12 inches tall. they have sharp claws and big sharp beaks and move really fast.

Judy drove back down the Death Valley in her Prius, it used to be Jill’s (Judy’s daughter, my niece) , you could tell by the bumper sticker- Jill is an astrophysicist. Judy treated us to dinner at the Inn with the Inyo group. Very good dinner, incredible place the Inn. There were some speakers about Inyo county and the desert. We sat at the fun table of Independence friends. Judy spent the night on our couch in her new 2 lb, rated 10 degree sleeping bag to try it out.
