We have seen these guys around for years in Shoshone, they come through here in the winter. They travel around in Florence, their Recreational Castle and do shows on the road and at Renaissance fairs. Christy tells stories and Michael does blacksmith work in the behind her. We have never stayed for a show for one reason or another. Tonight we made it to one. They put on a great show. They are even free. John bought us raffle tickets, they draw for what ever Michael makes during the show. Judy won a leaf pendant made from a horse shoe nail, but she gave it to me. She could tell I was coveting it.
This first photo is from their website. gypsytimemachine.com where you can see lots of cool photos of Florence . Much better light than we had tonight. Florence has two bedroom lofts upstairs that raise up when they are stopped and go back down to drive down the road.
The kitchen with a copper sink and refrigerator that doubles as a blacksmiths shop with a propane forge. The living room has a 380 lbs anvil, which has a table top that fits on top and a fireplace.
There are three drawbridge porches and 2 balconies to enjoy the views. The back. They even have a crane to lift their motorcycle onto the back here when they travel. And a mast and crows nest just for fun.
Even loved the brand name of the tires they have. Here is another photo from their website of what their rig looks like when they drive her.
My leaf pendant that Judy gave me. I took it back the next night to have Michael attach it to the zipper on my purse. I was afraid I would break it if I did. The clouds in the morning over Shoshone were pretty over the bus and Judy’s house.
We went back the second night to see a different show. We ran into Hawk, Sam and Robin at the show. Here is Christy telling the story of the Devil and the Smith, while Michael works on miners candlesticks.
I won one of the candlesticks in the raffle. I gave it to Judy, since she gave me the pendant. Christy and Michael with Florence. There were still cool clouds in the sky,
We also ran into Cynthia from Cynthia’s with the Teepees at China Ranch. We had desert and visited with her. The sunset was lovely over Tecopa.
The sunset over Florence. Amy and Wayno in front of the Bistro.
Twilight on Florence.
