We arrived in Auburn on Thursday . We had dinner with BJ and Bubba that night. John knows them from boating the Grand with them. They live higher up in the mountains. Friday the Subaru got stuck in 4th gear. It is now at the dealership getting a new transmission. Boo. It should be ready next week. Last night we visited Mark and Puki, they are also Johns boating friends. Tracy and Doug also joined us. Mark lives in the mountains too. He has a vineyard and a winery at his house. His son Josh is the wine maker. He has a degree in wine making. I didn't even know they had such a degree. He does a great job. Today it is raining. Which in California means tomorrow the rivers will be running. We may go boating with Bubba tomorrow.
Here is traffic going thru Sacramento. 6 lanes each direction. A semi going by. they always only seem a couple inches
Mark is pouring us wine, in the winery in his garage. The vineyards are in the back yard. Doug, Tracy, Mark,Bubba and John in the garage. Bubba is sitting on a vat of grapes.
Josh the wine master , John and Mark are enjoying the Indian summer in the back yard.
I decided I needed a sewing machine on the bus. I have always loved my mothers old singer feather weight. But my sister has it. I bought one on eBay today.
