October 14-15, 2019 Eugene, Oregon

Foggy in the am, 40-50 degrees, then afternoon sunny and in the 60's.

I got this great dress today at the thrift shop. I had to take a picture of it on me to decide how it looked. We hiked at Dorris Ranch. This oak tree was on the trail.

Dorris Ranch is a filbert (hazelnut) orchard started in the early 1900's. It is now a park. These are the filberts.  John walking in the deep, dark, forest.

Maple leaves. The middle fork of the Willamette river with fall color at Dorris Ranch.

Leslie in her beautiful, lush backyard with Rhody. This beautiful dalia is bigger than my hand.

A new Scott yard art tower in the garden.  Leslie cooked us a yummy BBQ beef dinner tonight. It is always good to see them.

The moon setting in sunrise this am. I am never up for sunrise, but we have to be out of the bus early in the morning so they can work on it. The bus in the shop at Oregon Motor coach. We really like this place. Usually come here once a year for maintenance things. The bus was built near here. Some of the people who worked for Country Coach (our bus is one) before it went belly up are now working here. They even still have some of the parts. Our bus is 17 years old and it is getting harder to find anyone who can work on it and these guy do a great job. There are lots of other Country coaches here.
They got a new puppy here at Oregon Motor coach. Roxie. She was looking forlornly at us in the waiting room. We all succumbed when they let her in.

Dave our service tech with John. Well John, here is your water pump. This baffle is broken and you need a new one. It is an expensive one. John says wait I have an extra one in the bus, you can put it in. We went for a little hike at Fern Ridge Reservoir.  It is very near to us here. We hiked in the Applegate unit, along the Long Tom River. We drove around the whole thing, but most of it was closed for the season, or for hunting. There is also a kayaking trail we didn't check out.

The fall colors are starting here. Flowers on the trail, clouds reflected in the river, a huge banana slug by my new boot and ferns growing from the trees.

Very thick foliage and John walking in waist deep ferns.
