We went back into Death Valley to pick up the rest of the caches from the hike. Flowers are blooming, even more so than 4 days ago. Probably won't be a super bloom, but it should be a nice bloom.
Desert Gold. Sand verbena and two desert gold blooms, dove that landed in camp a few days ago and was looking for food. Desert chicory and another verbena.
Desert gold and desert gold at the Ashford mill site.
After my astro photography lectures down in Death Valley I have been playing with my camera, learning some of the functions. I was shooting a time lapse of the sunset and Robbie, Torian, and Ruud drove into the picture. Robbie has been letting the little guys sit in his lap and drive the Teryx. Here is a photo of Orion taken by my little point and shoot.
Another night shot I took with my point and shoot camera. I shined my flash light on the garage. Sunset tonight.
The first desert tortoise is out of hibernation! There are 7 of them that live in a habitat here in Shoshone. Reflection in the pupfish pond.
Water and green in the pupfish/vole habitat. Nice light over the lake here in Shoshone.
Sunset looked like a squadron of UFO's coming in. A storm is coming through tomorrow. Wind for sure, maybe a tiny bit of rain. Judy and Judy celebrating the end of the B2B over a lovely dinner Judy D cooked for us tonight.
It was very windy and rained some today. Only had a small sunset, too many rain clouds, but not much rain. Wind blown palm tree.
I could not get the inside of our microwave/convection oven clean. It had all kinds of burnt on food and grease. I tried all kinds of things. Didn't want to use the toxic oven cleaner. So on the internet I found that you make a paste of baking soda and brush it all over the inside and leave it all night. I wiped it out this morning and with only a small amount of scrubbing my oven is like new. It is a miracle. I wish I had taken a before shot of how bad it was. An arch seen on the Aqua trail tonight.
Little Black mountain and a white bluff on the Aqua trail. Just love the colors on this trail.
