March 21-22, 2020, Shoshone, California

60's and sunny.

Sunset tonight from my friend Karin's veranda.  Visiting with  social distance outside. Looking straight up at sunset clouds.

John spent the day smoking two pork loins for dinner tonight. John is setting up seating for our dinner tonight. He measured 6 feet between chairs for proper distance socializing.  I went biking this afternoon. The clouds were cool. Space ships coming in!

We had a discussion on what the name of this flower is. It is a yellow tackstem. See the little red tacks on the stem? Lots of this mustard coming up. It is edible, the leaves look and taste peppery  like arugula which is a mustard, but don't know if this is it. Ravens taking off.  Pincushion, gravel ghosts and a yellow tackstem.

Tiny yellow wooly daisies, yellow tackstem and pin cushion.  Pink monkey flower and pygmy poppies.

Puffy cloud on a butte. More space ship clouds.

Space ship clouds over beautiful, historic downtown Shoshone. We had a neighborhood dinner tonight. Outside and distant socializing. Lorraine, John, Robbie and Susan (we made a new rule-people who sleep together can sit together with out the distant socializing.) and Judy D. Judy P is distanced farther back.

More unusual clouds. This cloud looks like a giant flower.
We had wonderful food for dinner. John smoked pork loins and made homemade BBQ sauce. Judy D make a luscious vegetarian pasta, kale salad and homemade chips and guacamole. I made spaghetti squash au gratin, sour cream dip for the chips and brownies for dessert. Susie brought wine.  We had so much fun we are going to make it a weekly thing. Lorraine, John, Susan and Robbie.
For all the cool clouds today sunset was underwhelming. But still beautiful.
