December 17-18 2022 Organ Pipe National Monument, Arizona

61 and party sunny. Still a bit of a cool breeze.

Beautful day to hang out. John reading. I read and worked on my beading. I finished this pendant. The beveled, polished, dichroic  glass is about 1 inch long. This is another one you have to see in motion. It is beaded with copper and gold colored beads. The glass turns from gold to red to blue patterns. It has enough mistakes in it I am keeping it for myself.

There was a covey of quail in our campsite, but I only caught one in a photo. John heading out on our sunset walk.

Twin saguaro cactus.  The clouds and light were amazing.

John heading back into sunset. John on top of the bus to photograph sunset.

Sunset. Woke up to rain, then cloudy and it cleared and was 60 degrees. The backside of a gila woodpecker and a side view of a cactus wren in our campsite. Heart shaped prickly pear and back lit hedge hog cactus.

The late afternoon light was lovely. The mountains to the west were lit up while closer was still shadowed.

My favorite, beautiful mackerel sky.

Sunset with organ pipe cactus and chain fruit cholla.

The west was lit up red, but the clouds never pinked up. Sunset.

Sunset.
