December 22, 2022 Organ Pipe National Monument, Arizona

 69 and sunny.



We hiked up Alamo Canyon today. John in the wild saguaro cactus. Brittle bush are already blooming. 



John leaping over some water. in the wash from a spring at the end of the canyon.   Water in the desert is always a treat. 



Running water reflections. Wild brilliant green water plants.



John upstream. Smugglers use this canyon. The first time we hiked it they were bringing some down the canyon they had captured. brittle bush, reflection, yellow flowers, 



Framed saguaro, robin, dried grasses. The remains of the historic ranch at the end of the canyon by the spring.

 Backlit saguaro, wild root, monkey flowers, reflection, purple flower and the contorted saguaros. 



Nice view with organ pipe cactus, cool rock formations and water. So much greenery for the desert.
