Blue Lake is the lake in the cirque over from Rainy lake that we hiked the day before. It is 5 and a half miles and 1000 feet vertical. This trail is more popular than the loop we hiked yesterday. The parking lot was full and people were parking on the road again. There were rock climbers too who came to climb the spires above the lake.
Blue lake is another blue glacial lake. Very lovely. The ruins of a log cabin on the lake.

Do not even know what all these are. The top one on the left was some kind of mushroom coming up, but it was really slimey. The other two I couldn’t find in any of my books. More wet climate plants I guess.
