September 9, 2013 Baker Lake, Washington

Baker Lake is a national forest just west of and bordering North Cascades National park.

John photographing his chacos on the Shadow of the Sentinels nature trail thru an old growth forest. John on the boardwalk, the bracken ferns below him are about 6 feet tall.

The glaciers on Mount Baker. John got this nice close up of the glacier.

Fish ladder on one of the side streams beside the road, the ladder takes them up and under the road. The lake is pretty low, so there are all these stumps around the edge.

Baker Lake is glacial blue. Beautiful. There were a bunch of these rocks that look rusted, must be iron.

Some water pedal tricycles at one of the boat ramps. Tiny pink flowers. devils walking stick is starting to turn red. They had thorns on the stem, that is where the name came from. Deteriorating mushroom and wild fox gloves.
